The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched the first phase of its groundbreaking ‘Digital Sale’ service through the Dubai Now app, marking a new era for real estate transactions in the emirate. Announced during GITEX GLOBAL 2025, the initiative reflects Dubai’s leadership in digital transformation and supports the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033.
Revolutionizing Property Transactions in Dubai
The new Digital Sale service allows buyers and sellers to complete property sale and registration processes entirely online, without the need for physical visits or paper documentation. Using UAE Pass for verified digital signatures, customers can finalize transactions anytime, anywhere, 24/7, directly through the Dubai Now app.
This innovation sets new standards for speed, reliability, and transparency in Dubai’s property market, reaffirming DLD’s commitment to delivering smart, secure, and user-centric real estate services.
Seamless, Secure, and Transparent Process
The Digital Sale process is simple and completely remote:
The seller creates and signs an electronic sale contract.
The contract is sent to the buyer via the platform for review and signature.
The buyer transfers payment to a dedicated DLD account.
Once verified, the ownership certificate is instantly issued in the buyer’s name.
This streamlined procedure eliminates manual paperwork, reduces processing time, and ensures the highest standards of security and trust. It’s designed to enhance investor confidence and strengthen Dubai’s reputation as a global real estate hub.
Requirements for Digital Sale Transactions
To use the Digital Sale service, both the buyer and seller must:
Hold a valid Emirates ID.
Have an active UAE Pass account for digital signatures.
Own a property in a freehold area (residential unit, commercial unit, or residential townhouse).
Maintain a UAE bank account.
Ensure the property is mortgage-free and owned by a single owner.
Empowering Dubai’s Digital Future
The Dubai Now app currently provides access to over 350 services from 50 government and private entities, available on both the App Store and Google Play.
Alongside the Digital Sale launch, DLD is also showcasing its Real Estate Instant Registration Platform—a live, interactive dashboard offering real-time data on property transactions across Dubai. This feature enhances market transparency and reinforces investor trust.
As Dubai’s real estate market continues to achieve record growth, the Digital Sale service represents a major step toward a 100% paperless and fully digital property ecosystem—further positioning Dubai as a global leader in smart governance and sustainable investment.
