Dubai Municipality has launched the Building Intelligence Platform, a groundbreaking digital tool providing real-time data on buildings across the emirate. Unveiled during the World Governments Summit 2025 (WGS 2025), this platform supports investors, developers, and planners with crucial insights, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global leader in smart urban development.
A Game-Changer for Dubai’s Real Estate Sector
The Building Intelligence Platform is designed to streamline real estate investments by offering detailed information on properties, including:
- Building specifications: Number of floors, total area, height, and usage classifications.
- Residential and commercial details: Apartment sizes, number of units, and total floor space.
- Economic insights: Rental values, commercial activity, demographic data, maintenance costs, and property valuations.
By integrating these elements, the platform fosters transparency, efficiency, and smart decision-making for all stakeholders in the real estate and urban planning sectors.
Driving Innovation and Smart Governance
Dubai Municipality aims to shape the cities of the future by merging urban planning with AI-powered analytics. The initiative aligns with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which focuses on sustainable growth and innovation.
Marwan bin Ghalita, Acting Director-General of Dubai Municipality, stated:
“This platform reinforces Dubai’s commitment to digital transformation and sustainability, ensuring better investment decisions and an enhanced real estate ecosystem.”
Mariam Al Muhairi, CEO of the Building Regulation and Permits Agency, added:
“With AI and advanced data analytics, we are creating a more resilient, future-ready city that adapts to changing needs and maximizes urban potential.”
Enhancing Market Transparency with Real-Time Data
A key feature of the platform is the Rental Index, which provides up-to-date rental data to assist investors in making well-informed property decisions. Additionally, insights into multi-use buildings help businesses and government agencies optimize urban planning strategies.
By offering comprehensive data at users’ fingertips, the Building Intelligence Platform is set to revolutionize how real estate investments and developments are planned in Dubai—making it easier, smarter, and more profitable.
